Food Day 2012
Today is Food Day, a nationwide celebration and a movement toward healthy, affordable and sustainable food. Across the country today (and throughout this week), communities are coming together to dedicate themselves to these principles. In Bowdoin Geneva, we’ll be celebrating tomorrow, October 25th with our End-of-Season Bonanza at the farmers market where you can join us in making a community-wide pledge to support good food in the heart of Dorchester. Food Day & End-of-Season Bonanza
Join us at the Bowdoin Geneva Farmers Market this Thursday, October 25th to celebrate an amazing season and Food Day, a nationwide celebration and a movement for healthy, affordable, and sustainable food. The priorities of this effort are to:
- Promote safer, healthier diets
- Support sustainable and organic farms
- Reduce hunger
- Reform factory farms to protect the environment
- Support fair working conditions for food and farm workers
Sign our pledge to “Eat Real” in support of these principles to be entered into a raffle to win a carving pumpkin and learn all about having a Healthy Halloween!
